Yes, especially during weekends and holidays, as we are a popular campsite in Cornwall.

Can non-guests attend workshops and the food barn?

Yes, non-residents are very welcome, but occasionally car parking priority is given to campsite guests during the peak 6-week holiday period.

Directions

Getting to Coastal Valley

⚠️ Important: Sat nav directions may be unreliable in this area, so please follow the instructions below carefully, especially if you are a large motorhome or caravan.

If You Are Arriving via Newquay Road (A3059)

(Most common route – cars only or those comfortable with narrow roads)

If you pass the Air Ambulance on your right:

• Continue along the A3059 (Newquay Road)
• Turn right towards RAF Camp / Treloy Park
• Immediately take the left onto a small, unnamed road

⚠️ This road is very narrow and steep – please follow our signs.

• Ignore sat nav instructions telling you to:
  • Turn right into Hendra Paul
  • Take any dirt tracks
• Stay on the tarmac road all the way down to a T-junction.
• At the T-junction, our sign is facing you telling you to turn right at Porth View Resort.
  (Sat nav may incorrectly direct you left)

⚠️ Important for Caravans & Motorhomes

Do NOT use the route above.

Instead:

• Stay on the A3059 towards Quintrell Downs / Newquay
• At the roundabout, take the right turn
• Then follow the directions below

If You Are Coming from Newquay (B3276 – Alexandra Road)

• Head out of Newquay on B3276 (Alexandra Road)
• Pass Porth Beach (on your left)
• Continue past the Mermaid Pub
• Turn right onto Trevelgue Road
• Continue for 1.5 miles

⚠️ Do not turn off, regardless of sat nav instructions.

If You Are Coming from Padstow / Watergate Bay

• Follow the coastal road towards Newquay
• If directed to turn down a farm road at Trebelsue (near a wind turbine), ignore this
• Take the next left turn, about 1 mile further along, onto Trevelgue Road
• Continue for 1.5 miles

Final Approach (Everyone)

• Pass Newquay View Static Campsite on your left
• You’ll reach a small hamlet with houses and horse stables
• Ignore the ‘No Through Road’ sign
• After about 50 metres, the road narrows
• Follow the road round to the right (look for our sign)
• Continue down a single-track, leafy road for about 100 metres

You’ll see Coastal Valley directly ahead:

• Turn right off the tarmac road, by the stream
